Matters Needing Attention for Stripping the Film-coated Wood Formwork
When stripping the film-coated wood formwork, the following matters should be noted:
Prohibited from throwing: When removing the film-coated wood formwork, it is strictly prohibited to throw the formwork casually to avoid damaging the surface treatment layer. After stripping the formwork, the floating slurry on the board surface should be cleaned immediately and stacked neatly.
Avoid drilling: Drilling holes should be avoided as much as possible on the film-coated wood formwork. If there are reserved holes, ordinary wood planks should be used for patching. Repair materials should be prepared on site so that the damaged panel can be repaired in time.
Repairing damages: For relatively minor scratches and damages on the film-coated wood formwork, putty can be used to fill and flatten, and then sealed with special repair paint. For larger damages and holes, after nailing in a wooden wedge, putty and repair paint can be used for repair.
Cleaning and maintenance: After each use of the film-coated wood formwork, it needs to be cleaned. When cleaning, sharp objects should be avoided to prevent damage to the phenolic resin film on the surface layer of the formwork. If it is stored for a long time, a surface agent should be applied for maintenance.
Avoid sun and rain: During transportation and storage, the film-coated wood formwork should be avoided from being exposed to sun and rain to prevent severe deformation and aging of the surface film. At the construction site, the formwork should be placed on a flat and level dry site, and there should be sufficient horizontal support at the bottom to avoid being stored in places with extremely high temperature and humidity.
Safe stripping: When stripping the film-coated wood formwork, the construction personnel must stand in a safe place. The inner and outer wooden corrugations should be removed first, and then the wood panel; for the steel formwork, the hook bolt and the inner and outer steel corrugations should be removed first, and then the U-shaped clip and the L-shaped bolt. The removed formwork should be properly transferred or placed on the ground with a rope hook and not thrown.
Consideration of structural strength: The structure of the removed formwork and its support should only be allowed to bear the full load after the concrete strength reaches the designed strength grade. When the construction load borne is greater than the calculated load, it must be checked and temporary support should be added.
Following the above matters needing attention can effectively protect the film-coated wood formwork, extend its service life, and ensure construction safety at the same time.
