Film Faced Plywood: Lamination Process

Film faced plywood is covering a good wood-based board with a layer of film-coated paper on the plywood then heating and pressing the film-coated paper and wood-based board. The surface of the

film faced plywood is smooth, bright, waterproof, and fireproof. It has excellent durability (weather resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance) and strong antifouling ability.

The lamination process is a post-printing surface processing process, also known as post-press overmolding, post-print placement or post-press film. It is processing technology that uses a laminating machine to cover a layer of transparent plastic film with a thickness of 0.012-0.020mm on the surface of the printed matter to form a paper-plastic integration. Generally speaking, according to the process used, it can be divided into two types: coating and pre-coating; according to the different film materials, it can be divided into bright film and matt film.
