MDF Board Properties

At present, MDF Board is another widely used building material for furniture, windows&doors, and indoor decoration except for solid wood. It is favored by many manufacturers and users for its excellent physical and mechanical performance, decoration performance, and processing performance.

At the same time, fiberboard is also an effective way of comprehensive utilization and rational utilization of wood, thereby reducing deforestation and protecting the ecological environment. Fiberboard is a type of artificial board made out of wood fibers after hot pressing. Fiberboards come with different densities. Density below 450 kg/m³ is called low-density board fiberboard, density between 500 -- 800 kg/m³, with a thickness generally of 2-30 mm is called medium density fiberboard (MDF), and density above 800 kg/m³ is called hard fiberboard (HDF).

Coating wood with powder paint is becoming more and more popular because it offers many advantages to manufacturers and consumers. The powder is dry and does not require any solvent. The process of powder spraying on MDF plates is completely different from using liquid coatings. 

Powder-coated MDF has many advantages. The powder coating makes the woodwork resistant to stains and damage caused by direct sunlight and insulates MDF from scratches, rough handling, chemical or water spills, and extreme temperatures.
