An Introduction to the Softening Treatment of OSB Boards

图片
To enhance the extensibility of  OSB boards , they typically undergo drying and softening treatment. Since we are familiar with drying treatment, what about softening treatment? Do you have an understanding of it? As we know, the primary purpose of softening treatment for wood is to increase its creative value by making it easier to bend, facilitating production processing, and improving its properties. The manufacturers often use hydrothermal treatment techniques for the softening treatment of wood. This method utilizes water to lubricate and expand the non-crystalline region of methyl cellulose, hemicellulose, and wood, providing more freedom of movement for the molecular structure. By gradually heating the outer and inner parts of the wood, the molecular structure gains sufficient energy. The expansion of wood is due to water entering the non-crystalline region of the wood, causing the non-crystalline regions of wood, hemicellulose, and methyl cellulose to expand, thereby enlarg...

Primer Application Method for Density Board

图片
When processing   density boards , applying primer is an important step. Before applying the primer, the substrate needs to be pre-treated to ensure it is free from rust and oil stains, and is clean and dry. Firstly, stir the paint mixture thoroughly and add curing agent in proportion, and let it stir and mature for 30 minutes. Then, use a specialized thinner to adjust the viscosity. The paint mixture should be used within 8 hours after preparation. It is recommended to spray the primer two times with an interval of more than 20 minutes between each spray. If sanding is required, the ambient temperature must be above 15℃, and the primer should dry for 24 hours before proceeding. Once the primer is completely dry, the putty work can begin. During the process of density board processing, it is important to ensure even distribution of adhesive when applying glue. When applying glue on one side, the thickness of the adhesive should be controlled within 0.3-0.5mm. When applying glue on...

Solutions and Preventive Measures for Density Board Foaming

图片
There are many reasons for foaming of   MDF , mainly reflected in three aspects, production process, material quality, and application environment, so how to solve the problem? 1. Improving production processes: To enhance the quality of the boards, it is essential to refine the processing controls by ensuring precise control of adhesive application and appropriately managing temperature and duration during the heating process.  2. Optimizing material quality: Use high-quality raw materials, and reduce moisture content in wood through proper treatment and storage. Additionally, careful selection of wood that avoids deformities, woodworms, and other issues is crucial. 3. Environment control: Strengthen internal environmental control and management within the factory to maintain a clean and impurity-free production process. Properly regulate humidity and temperature levels in the production environment. 4. Storage considerations: Store MDF panels in a cool, dry, and well-ventila...

Daily Maintenance Methods for Solid Wood Multilayer Board

图片
Solid wood multilayer boards  require careful maintenance compared to other materials. It is important to take good care of them and prevent water, heat, and sunlight damage. As the resources for solid wood multilayer boards become scarcer and their prices continue to rise, they are prone to deformation due to factors. Therefore, attention should be paid to their maintenance during daily use. 1. Do not place sharp or heavy objects directly on the surface to avoid scratching or damaging the top layer of the solid wood multilayer board, which could shorten its lifespan. When placing heavy objects, try to place them to one side, allowing the other side of the board to move freely to prevent warping. 2. Corrosive liquids, strong acids, or alkaline substances, such as toilet cleaners and kitchen degreasers, should not be used. High-temperature liquids or objects should not be placed directly on the solid wood multilayer board to avoid damaging the top layer. 3. When cleaning with a damp...
